The North-South Centre (NSC) of the Council of Europe is organizing this training course to empower representatives of youth organisations to further support the practice of GDE based on the NSC’s Global Education methodology, contributing to develop a better understanding of intercultural education, intercultural learning and intercultural competences. President Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda, the inaugural Youth Connekt Africa summit will bring together goverment officials & special guests that include Jack Ma, Founder and Executive Chairman of Alibaba Group, Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi, Secretary General of UNCTAD and Abdoulaye Mar Dieye, UNDP Assistant Administrator and Director of the Regional Bureau for Africa.
The Kumvana program consists of an 8-week online learning course (approximately 3 hours per week), an African retreat, and a 1-month intensive Canadian experience. Participants will have the opportunity for an immersive cultural experience, and spend time living with Canadian host families.
